Rocket League gets $2m prize pool at Gamers8

Riyadh-based Gamers8 Festival has announced it will feature a Rocket League Zero tournament with a $2 million prize pool.


The news comes just days after the Saudi summer gaming and esports festival revealed a $2 million prize pool for a Fortnite Zero Build tournament.

The tournament prizes will form part of Gamers8's total record-breaking $45 million total prize pool.


The in-person tournament will take place in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, from August 21 to 27, 2023 and prizes will be split across the top 24 places as listed below:

  • 1st place: $500,000

  • 2nd place: $300,000

  • 3rd-4th place: $200,000

  • 5th-8th place: $95,000

  • 9th-12th place: $50,000

  • 13th-16th place: $25,000

  • 17th-24th place: $15,000

Event qualification will take place during Gamers Without Borders, a Teams participating in this event will qualify through Gamers Without Borders, the world's biggest charity esports event, which runs from April 30-May 4, 2023.


The tournament will replicate the 2022 format, which matches being played in 3v3, 2v2 and 1v1.
